More than 16 lakh COVID vaccination doses administered in state

Nagaland has administered a total of 16,85,544 COVID-19 vaccine doses including 37,682 precautionary doses for the age group of 12 years and above, Health Care Workers (HCW) and Frontline Workers (FLW) as on July 6, according to the department of Health and Family Welfare.

The breakup of those vaccinated shows that 16,019 HCW have received the first dose of Covishield, 13,619 received the second dose, and 4459 precautionary doses; while 61,104 FLW have been administered the first dose of Covishield, 49,059 with the second dose, and 25,998 received precautionary doses.

Data also showed that 2,22,028 people of 45 years and above category were administered first doses, 1,94,081 persons received the second dose and 6,636 received the precautionary dose.

Under the category of 18 to 44 years, 5,25,442 persons have received the first dose, 4,13,010 persons  received the second dose, and 589 persons administered precautionary dose.

For the age group of 15 to 17, 71,008 persons were administered the first dose of Covaxin and 44,668 persons received the second dose.

The daily bulletin of the department revealed that Dimapur district has administered 35,690 Covaxin doses, Kohima has administered 16,938 doses, Kiphire (3,785) Mokokchung (10,808), Mon (13,663), Peren (3,845), Phek (7,736), Longleng (3,111) Tuensang (9,560), Wokha (5,437) and Zunheboto (5,103).

Meanwhile, a total of 31,171 CorBEvax vaccines for the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered, in which 20,455 received the first dose and 10,716 received the second dose.

District wise data stated that Dimapur district has administered 9,014 CorBEvax doses, Kohima (1,911), Kiphire (1,215), Mokokchung (4,493), Mon 8,020, Peren (1,186), Phek (1,120), Longleng (1,290) Tuensang (5,227), Wokha (2,527) and Zunheboto (1,743).

Six positive cases detected

Meanwhile, Nagaland recorded six positive cases on Thursday taking the total active positive cases to 27, according to the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

Out of the total positive active cases, 15 are from Dimapur district, three from Kohima, two from Longleng, one from Mokokchung and six from Peren district.

Out of the 27 active cases, 24 are asymptomatic, while one case from Dimapur and two cases from Longleng have mild symptoms.
