More teams arrive for South Asian Cross Country Championships, 56th National Cross Country Championships

Lakshadweep team arrive in Dimapur on Thursday

Dimapur, March 24 (EMN): Most of the participants and officials for the South Asian Cross Country Championships and the 56th National Cross Country Championships arrived in Nagaland on Thursday.

All the international teams -- Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Nepal -- have reached Kohima, while 28 teams consisting of 671 persons (approximate) representing states, UTs, and others have also arrived, a DIPR report informed.

On arrival, the participants and guests were received at Dimapur airport and railway station by members of the reception committee. They were then connected with their respective liaison officers through the reception committee after which they proceeded to Kohima.

It may be mentioned that team Nepal, comprising  nine members, was the first international team to reach Nagaland.
