NPGN/NNC (NA): The NPGN/NNC (NA) has expressed sorrow at the sudden demise of chairman of NSCN (K) Late S.S. Khaplang on June 9 at this crucial juncture. NPGN said he was not only a dedicated patriot but the selfless torch bearer and a good stalwart of the Nagas, who had sacrificed his entire lifetime for the cause of sovereignty of the Nagas.
It also expressed that although he is no more his nobel deed for Nagas shall never be erased from the history of Nagas struggle for freedom and the legacy he has left behind shall ever be honoured. NPGN/NNC (NA) lead by collective leadership and all rank and files paid homage and saluted to the departed soul and extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.

RIFN: Rongmei Indigenous Forum Nagaland (RIFN) has mourned the demise of SS Khaplang, Chairman of NSCN (K) on June 9, in Myanmar. It has described him as a man of principle and a true patriot who has shown practically by sacrificing his entire life for the cause of Naga’s freedom movement.
