Moral responsibility to get vaccinated, says KAAC

Diphu, June 28 (EMN):
Tuliram Ronghang, the chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) on Monday has asked everyone to take Covid vaccination in order to stop further spread of Covid-19.

He was speaking to the senior citizens of Diphu town at Marwari Mandir during a Covid kit distribution programme.

Covid kits like masks, hand sanitisers and Vitamin C tablets were distributed to the senior citizens. More than 50 senior citizens received the Covid kits.

The CEM said, ‘After the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic, we are experiencing the second wave. To prevent the outbreak of third wave one must follow Covid protocol even during lockdown and everyone should be vaccinated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched nationwide free vaccination. It is our moral responsibility to be vaccinated if we want to stay free from Covid-19’.

“Wearing a mask while going out from home, maintaining social distance and regular use of hand sanitisers should continue. KAAC, Joint Director of Health and Services and Diphu Medical College are working together as a team to reach each and every person for a free vaccination. I humbly urge everyone to come forward to take the”, CEM added. He also urged everyone to follow Covid protocol to stay safe from Covid-19.

The Covid kit distribution was initiated by Executive Member (EM) of KAAC, Ratan Teron while the CEM launched the sanitisation of the KAAC Secretariat building. He also laid the foundation stone for construction of the new office building of Joint Director, Handloom and Textiles (Hills) at 5 km, Lumding Road.

Teron said the sanitisation of KAAC Secretariat building is done by Gleam Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. using scientific technology and machineries. He stated that Covid kits will also be distributed to the elderly people of Lumbajong in Diphu.
