
Dimapur, June 9 (EMN): An ambulance for Mongsenyimti primary health centre (PHC) was dedicated by Rev. Imti Ozukum, pastor of Mongsenyimti Compound Baptist Church, in the presence of Tongpang Ozukum, minister of PWD (Mechanical and Housing) on June 8 at Mongsenyimti village.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rachel, medical officer, stated that induction of an ambulance would immensely benefit the surrounding villages which come under the PHC. She added that the ambulance would be beneficial and an extra advantage to ferry patients, especially Covid patients of the area.
Also speaking at the programme, Tongpang Ozukum thanked the medical minister and medical department for understanding the genuine need of the public by allocating the ambulance.
He hoped that the PHC management team and Mongsenyimti village council would work hand-in-hand and utilise the ambulance judiciously as it is for the benefit of all the villages under Mongsenyimti PHC. He also asked the council members and PHC management team to continue supporting one another in order to avoid lapses especially during this pandemic time.
Meanwhile, Tongpang’s visit to health centres in Angetyongpang assembly constituency culminated on June 9. The minister visited all the health and wellness centres, sub centres and interacted with the staff. He also interacted with the respective task force team of all villages and town units and distributed essential instruments and commodities to assist them in their fight against the pandemic.
The minister also visited the ongoing construction of EAC residence at Chuchuyimlang town and expressed satisfaction with the works done by the contractor despite delay in funding. He hoped that the concerned department would look into the matters in order to complete the work on time.
