Mon launches free video medical consultation for patients

Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): District task force for Covid-19, Mon has launched a free video consultation facility for patients from across the district to consult with doctors from District Hospital, Mon, via an application called “DocOn”.

A statement from  Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, stated that DocOn allows patients to book video consultation appointments with doctors and it also enables patients to consult with the doctor remotely from anywhere. He also confirmed that it is live from Monday.

“It is completely safe and convenient,” it stated.  It stated that the DocOn app would allow the patient to book a video consultation appointment, get lifetime access to digital prescription (e-prescription), maintain medical history and share reports with the doctor, get reminders about upcoming appointments, and post consultation chat with the doctor.

The DC also informed about the steps to book video consultation appointment with the doctor; Download “DocOn patient” app from App Store or Google Play Store and login or signup using mobile and OTP; search for the doctor using the doctor’s name and select the doctor; select the time slot for the video consultation appointment and start consultation online.

Doctors from District Hospital Mon available for consultation on DocOn app are Dr. Yingnei Konyak (ENT specialist), Dr. Ngampa Sangme (PM&R specialist), Dr Aman Konyak (Gynaecologist), Dr. Yanang Konyak (Anaesthetist), Dr. Chimang Paul (Pediatrician), Dr. Pangkhat Konyak (General Physician), Dr. Kutho T Nyuwi (Surgeon), Dr. C Longe Peter (Medicine) and Dr. AP Lemwang (Internal Medicine).

The service is free of cost for the patient and also more doctors will be available for consultation through the DocOn App shortly, it added.
