Mon DPDB approves proposals for projects in Nyahnyu village, Tizit

Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN):  Mon District Planning and Development Board on Monday approved various proposals to be forwarded to concerned departments during its monthly meeting.

The meeting was held at the conference room of the office of Deputy Commissioner Mon under the chairmanship of DC Mon, Thavaseelan K. 

The board approved the selection of a semi-intensive mithun rearing farm at Nyahnyu village and proposal for creation of a sub-division veterinary office (SDVD) at Tizit. 

An update from DIPR informed that new members of the board, Additional Superintendent of Police Mon, T Ado Yanlem and Assistant Sericulture Officer, Keneizetuo Khro were introduced. 

It said that the board also deliberated on reviving the Officer’s Club Mon office bearers and formed a search committee for the same to be headed by ADC Mon, Chingak Konyak, and Addl. SP Mon, T Ado Yanlem.

Further, SDO (C) Angjangyang, Yanithung Ngullie, informed that the Officer’s Club Mon was the only district club in the state with facilities like indoor stadium for badminton and table tennis, snooker, carrom, gymnasium, lounge, and mini library. He urged the members to be active in the club so that there can be more interactions and communications among the officers making work easier to be executed.
