The District Administration headed by DC Mon, Angau I. Thou, SDO (C) Mon along with SDO Phomching, SDO Monyakshu and EAC Mopong visited Pessao village and donated Rs 50,000 cash, 50 quintals of rice, two blankets each to the victims and other clothing materials as a relief to the fire victims of Pessao village.
Mention be made that on April 17, 24 houses were razed down to ashes and 15 houses dismantled to prevent the spread of fire by neighbouring villagers at Pessao village under Mon district. The Superintendent of Police, Mon, N. Imsusangba Sangtam along with OC P.S Tobu and staff also visited the fire victims at Pessao village, under Tobu Sub-division, in Mon District on April 22 and donated Rs 50,000 in cash as an immediate relief to the fire victims and Rs 10,000 for repairing of partially burnt Shejong (Morung).
Meanwhile, Pessao Village Council Chairman, Chemang and his colleague has extended gratitude and appreciation toward the contribution extended by District Administration and Police department.
