Dimapur, June 29 (EMN): The Mon district has won awards in three different categories at the 65th Skoch summit.
A press release from the Mon administration on Monday informed that the district won the ‘Skoch Crucible Award’ for its ‘Financially Inclusive Mon’ initiative; ‘Skoch Order of Merit’ for its initiative—‘District Response to Covid- I9’; and ‘Skoch Honourable Mention’ for its ‘Skill Mon Mission’ initiative.
“The Skoch Award was instituted in 2003 and is the highest civilian honour in the country conferred by an independent organisation. The award covers the best of effort in the area of digital, financial and social inclusion. It recognises the best governance practice in the country and provides a platform for the rest of the country to emulate such practices,” it stated.
The award is an initiative of the Skoch Group, a leading think-tank “dealing with socio-economic issues with a focus on inclusive growth since 1997”.
