Mokokchung to observe international Day of Older Persons

Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): The establishment of the district welfare officer of Mokokchung has informed senior citizens about observing International Day of Older Persons.

A programme marking the International Day of Older Persons will be conducted on October 1 from 9:30 am at Ongpangkongsalang in Mokokchung, updates stated.

The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued on Sep. 25 updates about the programme.

The programme will be based on the theme “The journey to age equality,” the updates stated.

“Therefore, all the senior citizens of Mokokchung town have been requested to attend the programme,” the IPR stated.

In another press release, the district welfare officer of Mokokchung has informed that as part of the nutrition programme, Poshan Maah 2019, the department is organising a ‘baby show’ scheduled to be conducted on September 27, at Sangtemla hall in Mokokchung.

“The competition will be for the age group of 6 months to 1 year. Therefore, all interested parents have been requested to participate in the said event. Registration for the competition will start from 9:00 am,” the IPR stated.
