MOKOKCHUNG — Based on intelligent inputs, the quick reaction team (QRT) of Mokokchung Police intercepted a truck bearing registration No. WB 25C- 6150 at around 3:30 am along Mokokchung-Mariani road and recovered huge quantities of banned Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on Tuesday.
The team on checking the truck recovered 285 cases of MC Rum (3420 bottles) and 225 cases of Kingfisher beer (5400 bottles).
The driver of the truck identified as one Bagai Chaora of Singimari Goan under Borpathar Police Station in Assam has been arrested and brought to Mokokchung PS-II along with the seized IMFL items.
Accordingly, a case was registered against the accused vide Mokokchung PS-II Case No 0010/ 2024 US 44(a) NLTP Act for further investigation.
