• MOKOKCHUNG — Dilong secured their place in the Inter-Ward Football Tournament 2025 final with a 5-4 win in a tie-breaker over Mongsenbai in the semifinals at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, on Wednesday, thanks to a crucial save by goalkeeper Imtisashi.

• The match, which ended 1-1 after extra time, saw strong performances from both teams before the shootout decided the outcome.

• Dilong took the lead in the 14th minute when Imshimong scored with a shot over the Mongsenbai goalkeeper from a long assist on the left flank. Mongsenbai responded in the 49th minute when Takotuba scored from a rebound off a corner kick, equalising the match.

• The second half saw Mongsenbai slightly controlling possession, but they were unable to convert their chances. Dilong also had opportunities but could not score. With the score still tied at the end of regulation, extra time offered no resolution, and the match went to a tie-breaker.
