Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): A special meeting of the Mokokchung district planning and development board (DPDB) was held on August 3 in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office under the chairmanship of Imkong L Imchen, MLA and chairman of DPDB, Mokokchung.
A DIPR report stated that Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, ministers Tongpang Ozukum and Metsubo Jamir also attended the meeting.
Discussing on the annual plan 2022 to 2023 and the five-year prospective plan under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme, the house decided to write to the concerned ministry and submit the project as per the project guidelines for the whole district before August 6. The house also decided to request for extension of time for the formulation of the scheme.
The house has decided that Mokokchung district would participate in the upcoming Nagaland Mini Olympics which is scheduled on August 26 and 27.
On the Home department’s directions regarding ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the house agreed to hoist the national flag in all the office buildings, public and private residences, institutions, and business houses from August 13 to the 15th.
On matters relating to the upcoming 76th Independence Day celebration in Mokokchung, the house has distributed work assignments to all the departments.
The house further recommended for upgradation of Lenjem Hospital and registration of Judo Association Society, Mokokchung.
