MOKOKCHUNG — Mokokchung Centric, a people’s group, will organise the 53rd edition of the Watch Night Service at the Mokokchung Town Centre (Police Point) on December 31, beginning at 6 pm and continuing into the midnight countdown to the New Year.
The Watch Night Service was first initiated in 1972 by the Seasonal Club and has since grown into a significant community gathering, bringing together people from across Mokokchung to welcome the New Year in a shared public space.

The 2025 edition will feature a mix of upcoming and seasoned local artists, dance performances, DJ sets, and other presentations, aimed at creating an inclusive atmosphere as the town counts down to the New Year.
Mokokchung Centric has invited all residents of Mokokchung and neighbouring areas to come together at the spot and be part of the celebration.
