Mokokchung, Nov. 13 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, has notified that sale and use of firecrackers has been banned in Mokokchung district till January 31 next year.

A notification from the deputy commissioner stated that the ban has been enforced in the district in exercise of the power conferred under section 22 (2)  of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
