MOKOKCHUNG — The import of pigs to Mokokchung district from outside the district is prohibited until the local pork price is settled.
This was unanimously decided in a joint coordination meeting of various civil society organisations in Mokokchung district held on Tuesday at the MMC conference hall in connection with the pork rate.
As such, all the residents and consumers of pork in Mokokchung district have been requested to bear with the inconvenience for the time being.
The joint meeting was attended by representatives from the All Ward Union Mokokchung Town, Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mokokchung Town GBs Union, Mokokchung District GBs Association, All Ward Union Changtongya, Business Union Changtongya, All Ward Union Tuli, Business Association Tuli, Tzudikong Adhoc Town Committee, and All Ward Union Mangkolemba.
