Modern College organises FDP on research paper writing
Dr. Rukulu Kezo along with principal and faculty of Modern College during the faculty development programme on Thursday.

DIMAPUR — The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Modern College, Piphema, organised a one-day faculty development programme on ‘Research paper writing: Essential components’ on Thursday with Dr. Rukulu Kezo, assistant professor of English at Capital College of Higher Education and chief instructor of CUE Academy.

An update from the college stated that she raised questions like what is research and why do we need to research during the session. She emphasised that research is looking at the same thing in different ways, answering questions and identifying gaps in knowledge.

Dr. Kezo also stated that research promotes critical thinking and allows scholars to share their findings with the academic community. As Nagaland has a lot of research potential, she encouraged everyone to grab the opportunity adding that there will be no progress in the society without research.

She shared that a proper introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion and references are some of the key important components of research paper writing.

Vini Achumu, IQAC coordinator of Modern College, moderated the programme.

The college principal, Dr. Vitsou Yano, delivered the welcome address and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Anthony, head of Political Science department.
