Cultural and Literary and Sports and Fitness Club of Modern College, Piphema, organised a four-day college week from February 21 to the 24th.
An update from the college informed that the opening day witnessed various cultural presentations showcased by the students, while the second day witnessed inaugural ceremony of sports held in the indoor stadium hosted by Livitoli Swu of BA 4th semester with Lt. Col. CH Jacob, second in command of 7 Assam Rifles, as chief guest.
It stated that the chief guest not only exhorted the students but also generously donated sports equipment to students.
It was followed with oath taking, which was administered by Vizosietuo Tepa, MCSU games and sports secretary.
The event included indoor games, track and field events, basketball, volleyball, football, penalty shoot-out and arm wrestling.
Report stated that Vivohoto Sothu and Phamsa Konyak were awarded MVP in men and women category respectively, while House of Hekha was declared group champion.
