Model Christian College organises conference on Choice Based Credit System

Dimapur, Aug.19 (EMN): Model Christian College, Kohima organised a conference on “Choice Based Credit System”(CBCS) in its college auditorium on Monday, August 19.
A press release from the college stated that students in this system have the option to choose from a prescribed number of courses and papers. The papers, it stated, were referred to as “core, discipline, specific elective and soft skill course.”
“The students can learn at their own pace and the entire assessment is graded based on a credit system,” the statement said adding that CBCS was “learner-centric”.
Nigamananda Das, Dean, School of Humanities and Education, Nagaland University, was the resource person for the conference.
