Model Christian College holds fresher's day programme

DIMAPUR — Model Christian College held its 17th annual fresher’s day programme on Friday at the college auditorium with enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and staff members on the theme “Aureate – Celebrating the golden beginning of a new journey.”

An update from the college stated that Shilumoa Longkumer, president of MCCSC, delivered the welcome address and greeted the new batch of students. Representing the freshers, Zadeno Ezung shared words of gratitude, while Dr. Mhabemo Odyuo, vice principal of the college, gave a brief profile and history about the college.

The highlight of the day was the Mr & Miss Fresher 2025 contest, wherein Dangli L Sangtam and Kavei-o Pulo were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher 2025 respectively. The contest was judged by Asenla Jamir, Dean of Students’ Welfare; Nikay Besa, assistant professor of Linguistics; and Neichuzonuo Rupreo, head of Sociology department.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kupuli Yepthomi, general secretary of MCCSC, followed by a closing prayer said by B Yunyei, prayer secretary of MCCEU.
