MLA Sophie visits landslide affected area in Kigwema

DIMAPUR — Kevipodi Sophie, MLA, visited the landslide affected area in Kigwema village under Kohima district on Monday.

He was accompanied by SDO (C) of Jakhama, Nockpai Konyak, EE PWD, Wapanginba M Jamir and Kigwema Village Council chairman, Balie Kire.

During his visit, Sophie instructed the officials to assess the damage and pursue the matter with the higher authority promptly.

The landslide, which occurred a few days ago due to incessant rains, damaged houses and the road between Kigwema and Mima villages has been completely blocked, a DIPR report stated.
