DIMAPUR — A new upgraded school building of Phom Lempong Higher Secondary School (PLHSS) in Longleng was inaugurated on June 3 by A Pongshi Phom, MLA of 50 Longleng AC and alumnus of the school, as the special guest.
Dr. Asangla Ao, daughter of late Lanumeren and founding member of the school, encouraged the gathering to continue in their endeavours for the growth of the school.
A DIPR report stated that Dr. Henshet Phom, vice principal of Yingli College and president of the school alumni association; Dape Phom, president of Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) and Jonglemdong, ADEO of Longleng, also spoke in the programme.
H Hamyep Phom, the school’s principal, shared on the academic programme of the school, followed by a poetry recitation by Manphen Keikung, assistant teacher of the school.

Pastor Hamchong said the invocation prayer, while the welcome address was delivered by M Mongvai Phom, chairman of school managing board, and N Tialemba Phom, PBCA executive secretary, shared on the vision and mission of PLHSS.
The school choir presented the school anthem and dedicatory prayer was said by Rev. Beaü, president of PBCA.
The programme was chaired by P Angbhen Phom, PBCA women secretary, and concluded with a prayer said by Rev. Mongoi.
