He expressed his desire for the gym to be more than just a fitness centre, envisioning it as a place where misunderstandings are resolved, friendships grow, and communities come together. He stressed the importance of both physical and medical well-being among gymgoers.

Dziesevizo Sekhose, Fit Lab’s proprietor and managing director, said on the occasion that the gym’s opening represents the culmination of a vision, meticulous planning, and diligent effort. According to him, the gym’s goal is to attract people of all ages by fostering a culture of healthy living and providing a space for a variety of activities that enrich the community spirit.

Sekhose acknowledged the Tsukru group, architects Kevisano Rhetso, and Khriesinuo Solo, among others, for their contributions in transforming the gym’s concept into a tangible reality.

He also introduced the gym trainer, Zhopao Movi, and highlighted his accomplishments, which included winning first place in competitions such as the Northeast Strongman and India Strongman League.

Thepfuvi-o Zatsu, chairman of Merhülietsa Panchayat Kohima, expressed delight at the establishment of the fitness facility and hoped that it would provide significant benefits. At the same time, he lamented people’s recent decline in physical activity and compared it with their ancestors’ active lifestyles.
