MLA assures smart phones to Anganwadi workers

Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): Advisor of Social Welfare, Noke Wangnao, has assured to provide smart phones to all 3980 Anganwadi workers and 167 supervisors under Rashtruya Poshan Abhiyan.

Noke made this assurance during his visit to Anganwadi training centre in Diphupar at the ongoing training of master trainer on ICDS-CAS for the supervisors and Anganwadi workers from all over the state. He encouraged the trainees to work hard and make the project successful.

He also inspected the office of DPO (ICDS), DWO, CDPO  and the growth monitoring devise to be used to address malnourishment, anaemia and stunting among children between 0-6 years, pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls under the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan.

Interacting with the Dimapur district social welfare officers, he encouraged them to work hard and also thanked them for giving their invaluable service to the people. Nagaland, being consumers state, Noke stated that he is giving all efforts to bring sufficient funds for the department. He was the minister of social welfare in 1984.

He also paid a visit to the central store at Purana Bazaar and the Vocational Training Central for the PWDs which is under construction.

He was accompanied by the secretary of social welfare, Sarah R Ritse; director of social welfare T Merangtsungba Aier; additional director Tulula Ponger and a host of department officials.
