Mkg DC told to direct HODs back

The Ao Students’ Conference has asked the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung district to station all the heads of departments and respective staffers to their respective departments. The Ao Naga students issued a press release on Thursday decrying the nominal presence of officers and employees in government departments and offices in the district.
Leaders of the Ao Students’ Conference visited various government departments under Mokokchung district and found out that the attendance of staff, including officers and heads of departments in most of the departments was “dismaying”.
“It was also observed that in some departments the office was even completely left unattended (assistant controller of Legal Metrological and Consumer Protection office),” the organization lamented.The students’ organization has asked all the ‘defaulting government employees’ to be sincere in their duties in the interest of the public.
The Ao students also asked the heads of departments to ‘streamline their department so that no stones are left unturned towards the uplift of Mokokchung district.’
The organization has also informed that during the visit, they “earmarked some curtained departmental heads such as Project Director (DRDA), District Agriculture Officer, who was found to be absent in his office during several official visit.”
Interestingly, the AKM stated, the District Youth Resource Officer of Mokokchung who according to reliable sources was an ad-hoc government teacher and was deputed to Mokokchung as DYRO.
“Therefore on this regard the AKM would like to address your esteemed authority for the interest of the general public to immediately station all the HODs & staff in their respective department to which the AKM will be grateful to you,” the organization stated.
