Mkg. DC lauds VDBs for bringing good roads in villages

Dimapur, Nov. 16 (EMN): The Mokokchung district village development board association (MDVDBA) held its general conference at town hall with Mokokchung DC, Sachin Jaiswal as the guest of honour on Nov. 16.
Speaking at the conference, the deputy commissioner appreciated the village development boards (VDBs) for their ‘commendable jobs in bringing good roads in all the villages in the district’.

Jaiswal asked the VDBs to rope in every section of the society while taking decision for development or project finalisation in their respective villages. Saying that better ideas would come out by putting more heads together, the DC particularly the VDBs to take suggested the views and opinions of the village council, youth and women should be taken into consideration while making decisions for developmental activities for the village.

He also encouraged the VDBs to have a vision to carry out the different schemes as the different developmental activities being undertaken today will not only benefit us but also the future generation too. Meanwhile, the introductory speech was delivered by the MDVDBA president, Dr. Imti Atsongchanger . Short speeches were delivered by council chairmen of Kangtsung and Changtongya villages, the DIPR updated.
