Aizawl, June 27 (PTI): The third session of the eighth Mizoram Legislative Assembly which commenced from June 12 was adjourned sine die by Speaker Lalrinliana Sailo on Thursday.
The state annual budget for the financial year 2019- 2020 amounting to Rs 10,692,30 crore was presented by Chief Minister Zoramthanga, who also holds charge of the Finance portfolio, on June 13 in the Assembly and was unanimously passed on Wednesday.
One bill and two amendment bills were passed during the session.
Two private resolutions were adopted and finance accounts and appropriation account of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India were laid in the Assembly while the audit report was not laid, reportedly due to late publication of the audit findings.
