Missionshire Cricket Club T10 cricket tournament from Dec. 15
Kohima, Dec. 5 (EMN): The Missionshire Cricket Club (MCC) will be organising a T10 cricket tournament from December 15 to the 17th at TM Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima.
Briefing media persons at The Guardian Hotel, Kohima Trade Centre on December 4, Kikrusetuo Sekhose, convenor of the tournament said it will be played in the ten over per side format, which is the newest and the most exciting format of the game today.
Sekhose also informed that the tournament will be conducted with the “cosco cricket” balls and will be played on a specially prepared concrete pitch.
The champion of the tournament will receive a cash prize of INR 20,000 along with a trophy while the runner-up will get INR 10,000 and a trophy. There will also be individual prizes.

Viketho Kechii, president of the Missionshire Cricket Club, said that the aim of the Mission T10 cricket tournament is to give platforms to young players to enjoy and learn the game and also build friendships and connect with their common passion.
Viketho added that cricket today is a lucrative game and it has a lot to offer even at the local level.
Cricket has become a very good career option even in Nagaland for both boys and girls.
The president also informed that the Missionshire Cricket Club will be celebrating its silver jubilee in 2025.
Approaching the big milestone, the Club will be organising events relating to cricket, which would include conducting tournaments, coaching camps, sensitisation programmes etc.
