Mission ‘Cyclothon’ reaches Wokha

Dimapur, April 15 (EMN): Participants of the “Cyclothon” under the banner “Cycling for fire safety awareness” reached Wokha on Thursday.

Led by ASI Thejangulie, “Cyclothon” is part of Fire Week 2021 organised by the directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Nagaland, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, government of India, directorate of General Fire Service, Civil Defence and Home Guards, All India Fire Service Sports Control Board.

The Cyclothon was aimed at spreading mass awareness on fire safety and in line with the ‘Fit India Movement.’

After flagging off by Neilasa Sopfü, Inspector General of Fire and Emergency Services, on April 14 at Kohima, the cyclothon team made a stoppage at High School Junction, Kohima, Chiephobozou town, Chiechama village junction, Botsa and at Tseminyu.

On April 15, they made a stopover at Chunlikha, Longsa village junction and reached Wokha town. On April 16, the team would proceed to Chukitong town, VK Town, Alichen and hold at Mokokchung town. The cyclothon would conclude on April 18.
