Miss Mimkut Nagaland 2019 queens on menstrual hygiene campaign
Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): Miss Mimkut Nagaland 2019 queens, under the aegis of the Miss Mimkut Nagaland Initiatives (MMNI), on Thursday met Director of Community Health Initiative Loreni Sophia, who is also the founder of a non-profit organisation called Menstrual Initiative Nagaland (MIN).
Through MIN, the MMNI has procured sanitary pads worth 10k for distribution to women in select Kuki villages all over Nagaland, it update informed.
The MIN has been working diligently in the state to spread awareness on the issue of menstrual health and hygiene breaking barriers of menstrual myth and stigma and also providing assistance to those in need, it added.
This is a first of its kind initiative to extend community services by the MMNI under the banner: “Pads to Empower – Numeite Thenna Le Damtheina Dinga,” it informed.
