Minister urges BJP unit to enrol more members

Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jacob Zhimomi held a meeting with Mokokchung district’s BJP officials on Saturday in Mokokchung. The minister for Public Health Engineering department discussed an array of issues with regard to strengthening the party from the grassroots level, updates stated.

The Mokokchung BJP issued a press release to the media on Saturday informing about the meeting.

Calling Mokokchung to be an important district in Nagaland with ten constituencies, he appreciated the Mokokchung BJP’s district officials for their efforts in reaching out to the grassroots making the people aware of the programmes and policies of the party in Nagaland, the updates stated.

However, he urged the party’s officials to give more effort with regard to the membership drive in the district. He was stated to have asked them to enrol more active members from the various constituencies in the district. ‘Zhimomi also elucidated the core principles of the BJP and said that the party stands for sacrifice and service to the community,’ the updates claimed. He was stated to have urged the Mokokchung BJP leaders to ‘sacrifice more and more for peace and development in the district and the state.’

Officials of various BJP units and frontals also shared their thoughts and suggested ways to make the party ‘grow stronger’ in the days to come, the press release stated.
