The minister said “self-sustenance begins when people value what they have and invest in their own communities,” adding that promoting locally grown products preserves identity besides empowering farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs.
Urging the gathering to take pride in local produce, he called for encouraging innovation and prioritising local goods in every household, market and institution. “Together, we can build strong, independent and self-reliant communities,” he said.
He went on to say that ‘every reform should move the nation closer to a self-reliant and compassionate India’.
