DIMAPUR — Health & Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak visited Tizit in Mon district on Thursday to assess the flood-affected situation.
According to a DIPR report, addressing government officials, NGOs, civil society organisations, and student bodies at the ADC's conference hall in Tizit, the minister expressed his appreciation to everyone who had come forward to assist the affected people during the unprecedented crisis.
Paiwang commended the collective efforts of all stakeholders in providing timely relief and support.
Highlighting the challenges of the post-flood situation, he assured that all possible assistance, including medicines, food, and other essential relief materials, would reach Tizit as soon as road conditions improve and accessibility is restored.

Besides taking possible care of the displaced families, the minister also donated food grains and financial assistance from his personal side to the worst-affected areas, including Tizit town, Lapa Lampong, and the Greenply area.
He also assured all possible support towards relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Paiwang further appealed to all well-to-do individuals and organisations to come forward and contribute in whatever way they can to support those affected by the disaster.
