Dimapur, Aug. 7 (EMN): Taking immediate action over the complaint raised by the Naga Council of Dimapur regarding the quality of footpath construction in Dimapur, the minister for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Metsubo Jamir, inspected the ongoing works in Dimapur, on Tuesday, and issued directives to the department’s officers to ensure good quality of the works being done.
A press note received here at Eastern Mirror, while informing about the minister’s inspection, stated that Metsubo Jamir instructed the department officials to inform the contractor to follow the design specification of the work.
The minister also instructed the department officials to oversee and to do timely inspection of the work to main the quality of workmanship.
The release stated that the minister, while appreciating the Naga Council Dimapur for ensuring good quality works, also directed the department officers for quality and timely execution of work so that the citizens can benefit through the developmental works initiated by the Municipal Affairs Department.
The minister also directed the department officials to clean up the area after the work is completed, the release stated.
