A mild earthquake hit the Northeastern state of Manipur on Tuesday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), Ministry of Earth Sciences.
The measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck around 10:19 am with the epicenter reported to be somewhere in Kamjong district of Manipur.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the NCS wrote, "Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.5, Occurred on 31-01-2023, 10:19:06 IST, Lat: 24.70 & Long: 94.27, Depth: 67 Km, Kamjong,Manipur,India for more information download the BhooKamp App."
“Yes we felt it. But no damage is reported," said a resident of Ukhrul district headquarters, bordering Kamjong district.
