Michael Fassbender in talks to play Steve Jobs

Michael Fassbender is believed to be in early talks to take on the role of Steve Jobs in the new biopic from Danny Boyle.
The Wrap reports that Fassbender has been approached to take on the role after Christian Bale exited the project earlier this week – it is a role that Bale had been linked to for some time.
Boyle will be in the director’s chair for the film, in what will be his first movie since Trance – it will also be the first time that the director has had the chance to work with Fassbender.
The Sony produced biopic will be based on a script by writer Aaron Sorkin, which will follow Jobs during three stressful, high-profile product launches including that of the first Macintosh computer in 1985 and the debut of the iPod in 2001.
Meanwhile, Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain are also both reported to be in negotiations to appear in the film, although it’s so far unclear whether either of them have reached an agreement with producers.
It is believed that Rogen could take on the role of apple co-founder Steve Wozniak – it is still unclear who Chastain will play in the film.
As for Fassbender, it has been a terrific year for the actor with 12 Years A Slave, Frank, and X-Men: Days of Future Past all under his belt – all of which either gained him critical or box office success.
