MOKOKCHUNG — Defending champions MH-10 Kohima entered the quarterfinals with a perfect record of three consecutive wins from Pool A. Longsa Sporting Club Mokokchung edged past Chienno Brothers, Kiruphema ‘A’ to secure the second spot in the pool at the ongoing 18th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy 2025, held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
After their opening victory over Chienno Brothers, MH-10 faced Longsa Sporting Club in a tightly contested match. Both teams fought point for point, but MH-10 eventually sealed the sets 27–25, 25–18. In their next match, MH-10 continued their dominant run, defeating Shikaho Memorial Club Akuluto 25–21, 25–13, showcasing their championship composure.
Despite an earlier setback against MH-10, Longsa Sporting Club bounced back with wins over Shikaho Memorial Club Akuluto and Chienno Brothers, Kiruphema ‘A’. Their final Pool A clash against Chienno Brothers was a high-stakes encounter for a spot in the knockout stage. Longsa dominated both sets 25–13, 25–15, displaying precise coordination and aggressive offense.

With these results, MH-10 Kohima and Longsa Sporting Club Mokokchung advance from Pool A as the winners and runners-up, respectively.
In Pool B, Evergreen Club Ungma topped the chart after overpowering Yajang ‘C’ in straight sets 25–10, 25–14. Following the withdrawal of Southern Angami Sports Association, both Pool B teams automatically advance to the quarterfinals.
Pool D saw United Changki and Spadroons Club Chungtia battle for the top spot. Although both teams had already qualified, United Changki prevailed 25–21, 25–18 in a thrilling display of skill and determination.
In Pool C, Chienno Brothers ‘B’ recovered from an earlier loss to defeat Yisemyong Volleyball Association 25–12, 25–22. Their victory sets up a crucial clash between Yisemyong and Fly High Tuensang to decide the remaining quarterfinal spots.
