DIMAPUR — The 5th phase FY 2023–24 social audit, a district-level social audit public hearing under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) implemented during 2021–22, was convened at the DPDB conference hall in Kohima in collaboration with the NSSAA, Social Audit Unit Nagaland, on Monday.

According to a DIPR report, there are a total of 13 villages under Tseminyu block: Gwachonlo, Khonibinzun, Lotsuphen, Phenda, Phentenjon, Phenwhenyu, Rengmapani, Rumesinyu, and Sendenyu New. Sendenyu, Thongsunyu, Tsosinyu, and Zisunyu were audited in Tseminyu district.

The programme was chaired and addressed by Kevilhoubeiu, project director-cum-DPC (MGNREGA), DRDA Kohima.

Imlirenla Sanglir, asst. director of NSSAA, SAU, Nagaland, briefed on the review of social audit findings. Imsusenla Longchar (DRP), SARP, presented the findings of the social audit. BDO and staff, officials from the DRDA, MGNRHGA beneficiaries, village functionaries, VLOs, and the media participated in the meeting.

The programme concluded with reading out the village-wise gram sabha resolutions and a vote of thanks by the chairperson, it stated.
