With an objective to discover the hidden talents and to inculcate the values of discipline, MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, organised a talent hunt event at the school library hall on the theme “Show your skill and be a star.”
DIMAPUR — With an objective to discover the hidden talents and to inculcate the values of discipline, MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, has organised a talent hunt event for the class 11 students on June 22 at the school library hall on the theme “Show your skill and be a star.”
Vice president of the school, Rev. Fr. Giju George, in his presidential address, stated that talent is a gift from God and one should multiply it in a creative manner. He urged the students to have a sharing mentality and encouraged them to hone their skills as they are essential for the development of overall personality of students, stated an update from the school.
The school principal, Reji Abraham, stated that the event was an attempt to find raw talent and a platform to showcase the hidden skills among the newly joined students of class 11. He also mentioned about the holistic education to enable the mind and body grow together.
He enlightened the students on the importance of academics to be accompanied by non-academic activities to engage different faculties in the brain to achieve a balanced growth. He further encouraged the students to learn from every situation to develop personality.
The talent show witnessed an array of events like dancing, singing, drawing, story writing, public speech and many more. Around 55 students participated enthusiastically and displayed their abilities magnificently on the occasion.
Out of all the prize winners under different areas of talents, Anok Konyak who delivered a thought provoking speech on the importance of mental health among the students was adjudged as the ‘top talent.’
