DIMAPUR — MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, conducted an orientation seminar for the parents of newly admitted students to Class 11, stream-wise, over two days—for the parents of Arts stream students on May 16 and on May 17 for the parents of students in the Commerce and Science streams.
The school informed in a press statement that during the seminar, the principal of the school, Reji Abraham, briefed the parents on the various challenges and opportunities the students are going to encounter in the school over the next two years.
He explained the learning requirements and academic pressures students may experience during their new journey. He advised the parents to be responsible, caring, and understanding towards their children, as these qualities are essential for their children to excel and face each challenging situation with confidence.
He promised the parents that the school would leave no stone unturned in its pursuit to mould the future of their children and encouraged parents to develop the habit of maintaining a good relationship with the school, particularly with the teachers. This, he emphasised, would enable the students to be more serious and disciplined in their studies and other activities.
Reverend Father Giju George, vice president of the school, thanked all the parents for entrusting the school with their children’s higher secondary education. He briefly explained the background and history of the school and encouraged parents to understand the importance of their children developing good character and an impressive personality.
