DIMAPUR — The first-year students of the MGM College’s department of Education and Life Skills programme performed a play at MGM Higher Secondary School in Dimapur to address the issue of bullying.
The play, according to a press release, aimed to raise awareness about the consequences of bullying, its effects on individuals, and the importance of fostering a culture of kindness and empathy.
The brainchild behind this awareness campaign was the head of department, Nimmi Varghese, who, recognising the significance of addressing bullying within the school community, proposed the idea as part of the students’ curriculum.
The play, titled ‘Breaking the Chains of Bullying’, depicted bullying experienced by students, and principal, Mr. Reji Abraham, applauded the students’ initiative and conveyed the importance of having a supportive environment for student development and enlightened about anti-bullying.
