MGM College holds peace and conflict resolution seminar

DIMAPUR — The MGM College, Dimapur, organised an orientation seminar for 2nd-semester BA and B.Com students on peace and conflict resolution at the college auditorium on Tuesday.

The resource person for the seminar was Elizabeth Pojar, assistant professor at the North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), as per an update.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Fr. Dr. P. S. Varghese emphasised the need for peace and conflict resolution, stating the necessity of a community that embraces peace in facing today’s challenges.

The resource person shared her knowledge on the concepts of peace and conflict. Following the seminar, students raised questions related to the topic, which were answered by the resource person.

The principal further informed that on January 24, there will be a seminar on ‘soft skill development’ for 4th-semester BA and B.Com students, and on January 25, there will be a seminar on ‘Research methodology’ for 6th-semester BA and B.Com students.
