MGM College, Dimapur, celebrated its 4th graduation day
DIMAPUR — MGM College, Dimapur, celebrated its 4th graduation day on August 16 at the college auditorium.
An update from the college stated that the program began with an invocation prayer and welcome address delivered by the college’s principal, Dr. Fr. PS Varghese.
It stated that the graduation day programme was attended by Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius, Metropolitan Calcutta Diocese and Chairman of the MGM group of Institutions. In his presidential address, he congratulated the graduates on their achievements and encouraged them that the goal is not to acquire all the degrees of the world but to gain wisdom like Solomon in the Bible.
The chief guest, Dr. KPA Ilyas, who is the deputy inspector general of police, motivated the students to have a thorough research in whichever field they intend to venture into and to have a good social, political and economic development, which are the necessity to live a good and fruitful life.
It stated that the graduates were felicitated followed with a speech on behalf of the students delivered by Imtizulu Jamir.
A felicitation address was delivered by Rupanka Bhuyan, registrar at ICFAI University Nagaland. He focused his speech on the concept of ‘dedication,’ ‘perseverance’ and ‘unwavering hard work.’ He advised the students to keep learning, adapting and evolving throughout.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered the college’s vice principal.
