MOKOKCHUNG, SEPTEMBER 11: Massive renovation is underway at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School (MGHSS) by the staff, students and alumni of the school for the upcoming platinum jubilee celebration scheduled on September 16 where the minister of School Education & SCERT, Yitachu, will be the chief guest, and Dr. Kilemla as the guest of honour.
In a run up to the grand celebration, the school authority organised a mass social work on September 9 in the school campus with the active involvement of all the teaching and non teaching staff, NCC cadets, Scout & Guides and alumni members.
Talking to reporters, the School headmistress revealed that a new Public Addressing (PA) system, donated by batch of 2011 will be dedicated on September 14. She also said that inauguration of e-library and science laboratory, which were donated by alumni residing in Kohima and Mokokchung respectively, will be held during the jubilee by the chief guest. She also added that the cost for the platinum jubilee souvenirs was donated by alumni residing in Dimapur.
