Mezhür overall champions in 3-school basketball tourney

Kohima, Oct. 9 (EMN): Mezhür Higher Secondary School (MHSS), Kohima, emerged overall champions in the 19^th edition of Banuo Mezhür Basketball Tournament held on October 6-7 at Mezhür HSS campus.

Altogether, players from the three sister-schools - Mezhür HSS, Dainty Buds School and Fernwood School vied for the championship titles in high school and higher secondary categories.

In the higher secondary category for boys played in the league-format, Mezhür emerged champions while Dainty Buds and Fernwood came in second and third positions respectively.

Similarly, in the girls’ category, Mezhür were the champions while Dainty Buds and Fernwood bagged second and third positions respectively.

In the competition for high school boys, Mezhür were crowned champions while Dainty Buds and Fernwood secured second and third positions respectively.

In the high school girls’ category too, Mezhür emerged champions with Fernwood and Dainty Buds placed second and third respectively.

In the closing ceremony, cash prizes along with trophies and citations were handed over to the winners.
