The new District Evaluation office building, Mokokchung at Sangtemla Ward was inaugurated by minister for Youth Resources and Sports, Merentoshi R Jamir on November 26.After unveiling the plague, the minister in his speech said that the Department of Evaluation is one of the most important components in the planning of activities in the state and asked all the department staff to be more sincere and dedicated for the benefit of the people.
Giving a clarion call to all the government servants, the minister urged to take time to think why somebody has been placed in a department. Saying that government servants are the selected few who have been given the opportunity to serve the people, the minister said one must be honest with oneself apart from their work.
He said as government servants, we must have confidence in us and put initiatives for the welfare of the society. Saying that one’s hard work might not be noticed everyday but one day our honesty and hard work would surely be appreciated.
DC Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso in his short speech, thanked the government and the department for initiating in building the office saying that in recent times many new office building has been constructed in the district which he said was as asset not only for the department but for the people of Mokokchung.
The DC wished the staff at District Evaluation office the very best in taking the evaluation office the very best in taking the evaluation works in the district.
Director, Evaluation, Kevileno Angami delivered the welcome speech while pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Church, Rev Ponen said the dedicatory prayer and ‘Sister Six’ presented a special song. The programme was chaired by joint director, Evaluation, W Chubala.
