Merali Fellowship lifts Cricket Bash League

Dimapur, Sep. 20: Merali Fellowship defeated Sumedem Fellowship to lift the second edition of Cricket Bash League (CBL) 2019 held at Dimapur Government College ground on Friday, September 20. Batting first, Merali scored 84 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. Chasing 85 runs to win, Sumedem Fellowship was totally outplayed as the outstanding bowling attack of Merali Fellowship made sure the run chase was unsuccessful and Sumedem Fellowship were all out for 54 runs.

The tournament was organised by Dimapur Ao Baptist Aroga Youth Ministry on the theme “Cricket for Good “.

President of Dimapur Ao Students’ Union, Moayanger Jamir was the match patron of the day.

The other individual winners were Orange cap (highest run) – Chujangtemsu (55 runs), Purple cap (highest wicket) – Watimongba (7 wickets), Yellow cap (best wicket-keeper) – Temjen (12 dismissals), Best catch – Tsuusem (Sumedem fellowship), Man of the Series – Chujangtemsu (55 runs, 6 wickets), Man of the match – Chujatemsu (19 runs, 6 wickets)

Earlier before the final match, a ten-over exhibition match was played where Youth Directors 11 defeated Tinted 11 by 1 run.
