‘Mensem Ki’ inaugurated in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, Nov. 24 (EMN): “Mensem Ki” located at Dobashi customary law court in Ongpangkong was inaugurated on Thursday. The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. K Temjen, pastor Khensa Baptist Church.

Addressing the inaugural programme, the EAC Ongpangkong, Sangpangchang Longkumer, lauded the village councils and all the stakeholders who had generously contributed towards the project.

He informed that the project was complete on time because of understanding and unity among the village councils under Ongpangkong EAC circle.

‘If we give time and efforts without remorse for public service, the public can have a peaceful life,’ he said.

Spearheaded by EAC Ongpangkong and Dobashis, the construction of the facility was completed with an estimated cost of INR 4,70,000, which was solely contributed by 18  villages and three “compounds” under Ongpangkong EAC circle without any government aid.

Tongpangyuba, DB-I, chaired the programme, while the welcome address was delivered by Lanunungsang, DB-II. Short speeches were delivered by Imnuksungba, PA to DC, Mokokchung; Nungshilepden, village chairmen of Ungma, Mokokchung village, and Khensa.
