[caption id="attachment_192428" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Fish farmers take fingerlings from the Fisheries department in Medziphema town on June 30.[/caption] Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): State department of fisheries has distributed with more than 300 bags of fingerlings to the fish farmers of Medziphema sub-division on June 30. In a simple distribution function held at local ground, Duosau Kuotsu, president of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, has expressed gratitude to the constituency MLA, Zhaleo Rio, who had personally initiated to deliver to the farmers on time. Kevirhekho Kehie, in-charge of the free distribution, noted that the local MLA had initiated similar free distribution at times during the right season over the years. A press release issued by press secretary of NDPP of 5 Ghaspani-II AC, Thejangukho Yalietsu stated that the NLA deputy speaker Zhaleo Rio has credited the success of fingerling distribution to the department of fisheries for their active response towards the need of the people. While acknowledging the sincerity of the department officials, Rio also urged them to enhance fingerlings propagation for extensive fish farming among Naga people.
