Medical XI wins after Neiphre’s brace

Kohima, May 31 (EMN): Neiphre scored a brace for Medical XI as they defeated Mustang FC 2-0 at Kohima local ground on Wednesday morning. Neiphre with his solo effort found the net in the 23rd minute and rounded his second goal seven minutes later in the first half. There was no comeback in the second half from Mustang FC side as Medical held on for the win. The lone yellow card was awarded to Neiphre for a foul play during the match. At 13th week of the ongoing Morning Premier League, Medical XI are unbeaten in three matches, temporarily moved to second place and are level in points (28) with the league leaders All Blacks who has a better goal difference. All Blacks who will be facing Morning FC on Thursday morning will remain on top of the league with a draw or win. Power Comm are also piling up the pressure on the league leaders who are in 3rd place and a game in hand with 25 points of the Morning Premier League table.
